  • 16. Nelson Musipa on Lessons from the Life of Elijah

We first heard Nelson Musipa speak at a Support Raising Leaders' Conference this past April.  Walking through the ups and downs of Elijah's ministry, he highlighted how relatable Elijah's humanity is to our own. He also brought powerful reminders of God's intentionality and provision for those He has called.

We've invited Nelson onto the podcast to share that same message with a broader audience. Though we don't read the passages within the episode, we encourage you to revisit the account of Elijah's ministry in 1 Kings. May these reminders encourage you as you seek to walk in obedience and trust in His provision today!

  • 14. Misty Meschter on The Partner's Perspective

In all our various training and strategizing, how often do we have insight into the thought processes of a donor deciding where to give? What are things that might cause a donor to stop giving? How do we decide who to ask?

Our guest for this episode grew up in a home that prioritized generosity and stewardship. As an adult, she now invests her life in coming alongside others in their own stewardship decisions through her family-owned company Pass It On, Inc. Part of Misty Meschter’s job is to help donors make wise and informed giving decisions. Today, she helps us approach this topic from her unique professional and life experience.

We are grateful for her candor, encouragement, and practical advice!

  • 13.5 RECAP with Jeff and Kat P.

It was our pleasure to host Jeff and Kat P. for the recap of Andy C.'s episode. Through powerful imagery and key stories from the life of Jesus, they unpack their own journey of waiting on the Lord with vulnerability and wisdom. I (Heather) have watched Kat and Jeff weather the storm and have seen both their faithfulness to obey and His faithfulness to provide. We are so blessed to share this conversation with our listeners.

Don't miss the special salutation from our youngest podcast guest to date as we wrap up the episode!

  • 13. Andy C. on 30 Years of Depending on God’s Supply

Hudson Taylor once said: "Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so."

With 30 years of support-based living, our guest today stands by this bold claim and has fought to keep this perspective: God is faithful and the provision is His responsibility. The reality is that all of us - all of life - is dependent on God and provided for by Him. By Him all things were created and, in Him, all things hold together.

Why is it so hard to keep this in view when we fundraise? Be encouraged as Andy casts vision for stewarding partnerships and provides practical tips for how to fundraise well for the long haul.

Anxiety, with its different catalysts and durations, is part of the human experience.  Everyone can relate to the disruption.

Developing the ability to recognize anxiety (in ourselves and others), and taking steps to move through it is critical for healthy missionaries, healthy teams, and healthy ministry. Steve Cuss, renowned author, pastor, and coach, provides a well-rounded perspective on anxiety and offers practical encouragement to move away from bondage and into the rest of Jesus.
