“Our brains become magnetized with the dominating thoughts which we hold in our minds, and by means with which no man is familiar, these “magnets” attract to us the forces, the people, the circumstances of life which harmonize with the nature of our dominating thoughts.” - Napoleon Hill We are now on the sixth episode in a series of themed podcasts that started several weeks ago. This subject of “where you are is not who you are” will go on for a few more weeks as there is more learning to unravel. For today’s subtopic, we are going to dive into how to manage and avoid being defined by uncontrollable, challenging situations in our lives. We will also touch on distinguishing between the significant and the dominant narratives and, more importantly, having the ability to choose what must dominate. Events we cannot control often leave us stuck and diminish opportunities for growth. However, we have the power to decide and lean into the essence of who we really are. Who are you at your core? If you feel like you have been defined by your circumstance, then worry no more for there is a way out of it. As with the message the Christmas season brings - You can be reborn into a new you.  Appreciate yourself more. Share the love. Learn to look at others without judgment for each one of us has our own unique experiences and stories to tell. Highlights: ⚡️ Who you are has optimism because it is driven by the principles of purpose and vision. ⚡️ There is a choice between the significant and the dominant narrative in uncontrolled situations. ⚡️ Dominant elements can restrict your opportunities to follow who you are. ⚡️ Being defined by meaning and purpose in life goes beyond being defined by circumstances. ⚡️ You can recognise and accept a challenging situation, but it does not have to dominate the way you respond to the world.
