Family is important, and some of the most important moments of our lives happen there. Not everyone in our family is like us, morally and ethically speaking. We can also love them and still distance ourselves from them. Oftentimes, the people closest to us have beliefs that we don’t advocate for. It may be a simple disagreement in opinion. Occasionally, it may be drastically different beliefs. The best thing you can do is to distance yourself from this person and spend time with people who make you feel loved and encouraged. But when they are family, it might be a bit more challenging. It's not your village people oh, you just might be giving them unnecessary power!
