It’s Okay To Be Sad, Just Don’t Stay There Too Long

Sis, this was an impromptu recording because over the course of the last 10 days I was honored to help a long time client process a significant loss and then I got to manage a loss of my own.


These are the challenges I see that I wanted to share.

As purpose driven, strong women we can sometimes struggle to allow ourselves to be sad at all.  We want to somehow make it wrong or feel like it is a weakness... or try to convince ourselves "I should be okay"

You are a way-maker, and also you don't have to ALWAYS be "okay"

There is a time to be sad, feel the emotion and process a loss (as an example) 

There is also a time to shift the feeling of loss to a heart of gratitude for what was or is (I share how in this episode)

Learning how to recognize emotion, how to process emotion has been a gift God has helped me develop over time and I continue to grow in.  I hope I can support you in your journey of learning how to recognize emotions, and hold space for them while not allowing them to control your thoughts or actions.
