There is a misconception that when we give our lives to Jesus, when we start to follow Him that bad things will stop happening, that there won't be trials and pain. But the promise of Jesus is not that there will never be a battle, as followers of Jesus we can rest in the promise is He will intercede on our behalf, that He will be with us through the battles, through the pain.
