In Episode 13 of 'Houston, We Have a Podcast', Sho gets back to themes (yay!) with two unfortunately less-than-great movies - the comedy/nostalgia trip Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2:43), followed by the Netflix original, Bright (14:54).
In Episode 12 of 'Houston, We Have a Podcast', Sho takes on his favourite movie franchise, Star Wars, with the latest installment, The Last Jedi. We talk about what it means to be a fan (0:48) before getting to the meat of the episode, the review (6:41).
Note: The review is spoiler-heavy, while the fandom segment talks about the movie with zero spoilers.
In Episode 11 of 'Houston, We Have a Podcast', Sho tackles two more movies out in theatres: the most recent adaptation of the famous detective Hercule Poirot in Murder on the Orient Express (1:25) and then invites in two guests (one familiar, one not, but both good) for a chat on DC's latest film, Justice League (12:40).
In Episode 10 of 'Houston, We Have a Podcast', Sho changes things up a bit - we ditch the news segment in favour of an extended conversation with ESPN's Adnan Virk (2:57), who also runs the movie podcast 'Cinephile'! Sho and Adnan chat about the World Series, baseball movies, and the idea of reviewing movies in general.
After the interview, we get into the episode's lone review, the latest entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the wonderfully funny Thor: Ragnarok (22:55).
In Episode 9 of 'Houston, We Have a Podcast', we talk about the only news topic that should be tackled: the Harvey Weinstein scandal, and the subject of sexual harassment and assault in Hollywood (0:49).
For reviews, Sho talks about the masterful Blade Runner 2049 (8:06), as well as the latest Tom Cruise vehicle, American Made (30:35), featuring guest Mark Gougeon of the Rose 2 Rose Podcast!
In Episode 8 of 'Houston, We Have a Podcast', we tackle some discussion subjects, including who deserves an Oscar now that Leo has won (0:48), and what movies do people watch every time they catch it on TV (8:50)?
For the reviews, we take a look at two early Fall entries, with Kingsman: The Golden Circle (15:41) and LEGO Ninjago (28:52).
In Episode 7 - the TIFF Edition - of 'Houston, We Have a Podcast', we talk some more Hallmark movies (0:48), and break down some news on JJ Abrams returning to the Star Wars universe (8:16).
With the reviews, it's all TIFF this week, as Sho attended screenings of The Mountain Between Us (13:46) and the winner of the People's Choice award, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri (25:27).
In Episode 6 of 'Houston, We Have a Podcast', we get back on track with some more news, including everyone's favourite hitman John Wick and his next adventure (1:55), Obi-Wan Kenobi movie rumours (3:49), and Hallmark's latest foray into Hollywood (6:28)
Once Sho gets to the reviews, we talk the scariest clown around in 'IT' (12:32), and then we shift a bit to one of the more buzzworthy films of TIFF, Disobedience (29:23).
