We continue our strengthening the family series with special guest C. Nichole Nash. C. Nichole Nash is a licensed professional counselor and owner of 9FRUITS Counseling. Nichole is passionate about child literacy in Memphis. Nichole has been a literary coach at the non-profit organization ARISE2READ since 2019. In this episode, Nichole breaks down Maslow's hierarchy of needs and how it correlates to recycling trauma and bridging generational gaps. We combat the “that’s just how it is” mindset while encouraging understanding and empathy for generational differences. Nichole gives context to the renewal of the mind through various approaches such as awareness, reframing, challenging narratives, fruit inspection, and aligning ourselves to shift. She is a certified trainer for Behavioral Styles (DISC) and Maxwell Leadership and is a proven Leadership Consultant with 20 years of experience conducting leadership workshops and seminars. While working on leadership training, she discovered that learners achieve results only when they commit to obtaining and applying knowledge and then reflecting upon and sharing their experiences in a safe and open environment. This propelled her to create her own PEARL MethodTM of Accelerated Learning and she has since been using this method in all her workshops, resulting in resounding success for learners. In this episode, Emy shares her journey from retiring from her government job to actualizing her purpose. We discuss being intentional, putting what you desire in the atmosphere, and being open to opportunities that may not present themselves how you imagined them.
