- The End of Season 3 FinaleFor many years, God had warned ISREAL to repent/turn from their sins because he knew what would happen in the future and he wanted to protect them from it but they ignore the prophets and continue practicing paganism and idolatry as a result the prophecy of the prophets fulfilled but was this the end of ISREAL God’s chosen people? The Babylonian Captivity: the Conquest of JudahIn 600 BCE the king of Judah decided for 3 years to stop paying taxes to Babylonia. This led to the Jewish-Babylonian War. The Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar laid Siege to Judah by 597 BC. After the city of Jerusalem was captured, tens of thousands of Jewish people were exiled from Judah. Historians disagree about the exact date that the Babylonian Captivity began. Some sources say that it began as soon as King Nebuchadnezzar began to attack the city in 597 BCE, but others say it occurred in 586 CE, when Jerusalem was destroyed by Babylonian forces. Regardless of the exact date, sources show that the Jews were forcibly moved to Babylon. What was the Babylonian Exile of the Jewish People? While the Jewish people were exiled they faced immense pressure to conform to the culture of Babylon. However, religious sources emphasize that they were able to maintain their religious traditions despite the circumstances. They continued to pray, maintain their dietary restrictions, and follow their laws. They remained hopeful that their captivity would end through help from God. Depending on the exact source, and the start date of the captivity, which is said to have occurred either in 586 CE or 597 CE, the Jewish people were either held in Babylon for 48 years or 59 years. Their captivity came to an end when the Persian King Cyrus the Great allowed them to return to Jerusalem in 538 CE.Read more here: https://study.com/learn/lesson/babylonian-captivity-summary-timeline.htmlDISCLAIMER*I DO NOT OWN THE COPYRIGHT to any of the audios used in this season. These contents are used strictly for teaching purposes and to help spread the word of God to our listeners. All credits goes to Thomas Nelson inc. if you would like to hear the full audiobook of this Bible visit:Try Audible and get it here: https://www.audible.com/pd?asin=B003UC45I8&source_code=ASSORAP0511160006&share_location=player_overflow where you can purchase the audio for a small fee.“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee”. - Jeremiah 1:5Help us spread word that salvation through Jesus Christ is the only way by sharing a copy of this episode with someone.Remember to tune in every Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12pm for more episodes.Find us on:instagram @itstheloveofgodformeTwitter @IamlenesherYouTube: https://youtube.com/channel/UC0ulSsgxhb_SoxhrihxqNdASpotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/5gngzMe2x71nCdzuv2NNSk?si=_9Zy6LypQMyc5wi2Aw6dRQ@spotifyApple podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/jm/podcast/its-the-love-of-god-for-me/id1603182860@applepodcastsGoogle podcast: https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cHM6Ly9hbmNob3IuZm0vcy83NTUwYzljMC9wb2RjYXN0L3Jzcw@google_podcastAmazonMusic: https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/ffa8ea68-876a-46f1-9627-73b8f242d99e/it%E2%80%99s-the-love-of-god-for-me@amazonmusicukYou can now send us your feedback using voice-notes click on the link below to access🔥🔥🔥🔥https://anchor.fm/itstheloveofgodforme/message~~~Don’t forget to subscribe and leave a review we want to hear from you and you can listen on the go with hands-free listening powered by Alexa for iOS and Android and on all Echo devices!Reading the Bible to you in this season!#podcast #podcasting #jesuschrist #newchapter #newseason #s3 #newbeginnings #podcastlife #podcastonspotify #podcastsonapplepodcasts #podcastsongooglepodcasts #podcastsonamazommusic34 min
- The Prophecy of the Prophets fulfilled. - S3 EP15In today’s episode Daniel a noble Jewish youth of Jerusalem witness the prophecy being fulfilled in his days as spoken by the prophets Jeremiah and others years earlier. The LORD as promised turned his face away from ISREAL because of their iniquities and lack of repentance. Some were killed while some Including Daniel and his friends were taken into captivity by Nebuchadnezzar II of Babylon, to serve the king ... this would not have happened if ISREAL had yield to the warnings of the prophets and turn to God. These are written as an example unto us that we should take God and his word seriously. Failure to repent of our sins can result in God removing his presence from our lives which gives the enemy of our souls the legal right to kill, steal and destroy.DISCLAIMER*I DO NOT OWN THE COPYRIGHT to any of the audios used in this season. - Jeremiah 1:5Help us spread word that salvation through Jesus Christ is the only way by sharing a copy of this episode with someone.Remember to tune in every Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12pm for more episodes.Find us on:instagram @itstheloveofgodformeTwitter @IamlenesherYouTube: https://youtube.com/channel/UC0ulSsgxhb_SoxhrihxqNdASpotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/5gngzMe2x71nCdzuv2NNSk?si=_9Zy6LypQMyc5wi2Aw6dRQ@spotifyApple podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/jm/podcast/its-the-love-of-god-for-me/id1603182860@applepodcastsGoogle podcast: https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cHM6Ly9hbmNob3IuZm0vcy83NTUwYzljMC9wb2RjYXN0L3Jzcw@google_podcastAmazonMusic: https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/ffa8ea68-876a-46f1-9627-73b8f242d99e/it%E2%80%99s-the-love-of-god-for-me@amazonmusicukYou can now send us your feedback using voice-notes click on the link below to access🔥🔥🔥🔥https://anchor.fm/itstheloveofgodforme/message~~~Don’t forget to subscribe and leave a review we want to hear from you and you can listen on the go with hands-free listening powered by Alexa for iOS and Android and on all Echo devices!Reading the Bible to you in this season!#podcast #podcasting #jesuschrist #newchapter #newseason #s3 #newbeginnings #podcastlife #podcastonspotify #podcastsonapplepodcasts #podcastsongooglepodcasts #podcastsonamazommusic20 min
- The Prophets/Seers - S3 EP14We discover God’s first mention of a prophet in Deuteronomy 18:18-19. “I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites, and I will put my words in his mouth. He will tell them everything I command him. I myself will call to account anyone who does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name.”The Four Major Prophets: Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, and DanielThe Twelve Minor Prophets: Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and MalachiWhat Does Prophet Mean? The word prophet defines someone who gives the declarations of God. These men and women did not exist for their own glory but for the glory of God. The Hebrew word for prophet is Nebi, which is derived from the verb action, “to bubble forth” like a fountain. The English word for prophet comes from the Greek word prophetes which means to “speak for another, especially one who speaks for a god.”The biblical prophets spoke the truth which came from God. Their unique vocation allowed them to authoritatively speak on God’s behalf. They never spoke on their own authority nor did they share their own opinions. They only shared their message as God instructed them. Their role was to make God’s will known, as well as his holiness, and to instruct God’s people to reject idolatry and sin.How Did These Men and Women Become Prophets? The Bible doesn’t explain how the word of the Lord came to a prophet, however, there are a number of examples where the Lord revealed his will through visions aside from an audible or internal voice (1 Samuel 3:1,15; 2 Samuel 7:17; Isaiah 1:1; Ezekiel 11:24) or dreams (Numbers 12:6). Jesus also fulfilled this advocacy of his father as a priest, prophet, and king.Written by : Heather RigglemanISREAL disobedience was unbearable and there was coming a time when God would remove the edge of protection from around them and their enemies would conquer and destroy the nation. God being merciful in essence send men after his own heart to warn his people to repent and turn from their abominable acts.
