As we make our way through the January 6th hearings, and witness the evidence of the ongoing assault on our elections by a disgraced, twice-impeached wannabe mob boss from Florida, who happens to be the favorite to be the GOP nominee the next time out...and see that polls are telling us that his movement and party are positioned to gain control of the House and Senate this year, we have to wonder if our 235 year run of being a special nation in the world has run its course.  Can we get through the next few years without some serious violence?  Unless opponents of this madness start paying attention, perhaps not.
