The miraculous parting of the Red Sea was the open door the Hebrews needed to escape 400 years of slavery in Egypt. But oddly enough, when they saw the Egyptians coming after them, the Hebrews were so terrified that they wished they had never left Egypt in the first place. It is a sad day when slavery seems a better alternative than freedom; when your past seems brighter than your future.
