Second Corinthians, chapter 12, verses 9and 10. And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore, most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong." The key Paul highlights is simply this. God's strength begins when our strength ends. Without God, all of our efforts will amount to nothing. Paul, knowing the perils of pursuing God in the flesh, is essentially saying, "Preserve me, oh God, from becoming strong in myself. Save me, God, from rising up with my own plans." For those of you who feel weak, you may wonder, can God ever use me? Know that in your weakness, it's then that God's strength shines the most. It's time to pray.
