Poetry On Life

It’s Your Life and Your Song

Listen Later

Lengthening shadows, a Past display

The Present, silhouetted by starlight,

What more can anyone, ever, say

Who knows the contours of next morning’s light.

Tread on clouds, but, gently so

Whenever you’re lost in dreams,

The flaky stuff not used to weight

Softly, flow those fluffy streams.

Dreams, shattered by the morning light

The phantom of Dawn a spirit unique,

The piercing rays of the Sun all bright

Silence, disapproves all manner of speak.

Transient, is the nature of applause

Though nothing, really, is eternal,

Action, always looks for cause

Fires, not only hellish, all infernal.

Life’s a journey you walk alone

Wending your way through the throng,

The melody yours and you sing it

It’s no one else’s Song.
