Betsy is a former Licensed Practical Nurse and Pre-School Teacher’s aide. She is currently the Host of Chatting with Betsy podcast on Passionate World Talk since September 2019 which is on several podcast outlets.

Betsy was a caregiver for her mother-in-law who had Alzheimer's. She had never heard of Alzheimer’s and had to learn on her own. Betsy was married to her husband Matthew Sloan for 39 years. Her husband was diagnosed  in 2010 with Early Onset Alzheimer's. Matt's journey changed her life! She became a stronger advocate, found her gifts, her voice and her purpose!

She is the Creator and Founder  of #Kick Alzheimer's Ass Movement support  group on Facebook. She created this support group so no one else will go through caregiving alone or after caregiving.  Betsy was nominated and received the  Caregiving Visionary Advocate Award in November 2021 from Caregiving.com.

Betsy has one son, Joshua Sloan who is 37 and has a cognitive disability. She became an advocate for her son Josh to fight for him to have the proper  education!

Betsy is still a caregiver! She is proof that you can not only survive caregiving but thrive in caregiving! It is a mindset!

Charles Gore
Charles Gore, born and raised in Chattanooga, TN. Married for 35 years with four adult children and two grandkids. Graduated from Chattanooga High School. Colleges attended and graduated from are DeVry Institute and Chattanooga State Technical College. I have been living in Atlanta, GA since 1985 initially working at Southern Technical College and for the last 32 years working with the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks.

Billy Harper
Billy is a certified Catastrophe Insurance Claims Adjuster and a Claims Examiner for a government agency. Every day he is a husband, a father of two, a PaPa to one and tomorrow he will be a retiree at 100% of his projected retirement financial goals.

Alvin Jones
Originally from Chattanooga, TN Alvin is an Army Veteran who worked as an Nightclub DJ for ten years playing music from Sea-Tac, to Chattanooga, Atlanta, Seoul Korea as well as Nuremberg/ Firth, Germany. Alvin and his wife settled in Atlanta in 1988, where he has worked as a Health Information Management Specialist for almost 33 years. Alvin has been married to the love of his life, Elaine for almost 40 years.

James Spencer Sands
James was born in Chattanooga Tennessee at Erlanger hospital. He graduated from Riverside High School and graduated from Tennessee State University and finished his MBA at Strayer University. James moved to Atlanta in 1983 and has been married to Pamela Sands for 36 years. They have 4 children and 2 grandchildren.

Dr. Lester A. Freeman was born and raised for part of his childhood in Harlem, New York City, but relocated to Laurelton, Queens where he spent the rest of his formative years. Ever since he was five years old, he wanted to become not only a physician, but a pediatrician.

Dr. Freeman’s motivation stems from his fundamental love for both children and pediatric medicine. His daily goals include educating his patients and their families about pediatric health and inspiring as many children and adolescents as he possibly can to become interested in pursuing a career in medicine.”

Charles H Winfrey

Commissioner Charles Winfrey is a lifelong resident of the City of Flint, and was elected to serve as County Commissioner for the 2nd District in 2020.

Winfrey has served as executive director and resident playwright of The Floyd J. McCree Theatre, based in Flint, MI, for over 24 years.

A graduate of the University of Michigan-Flint, Winfrey holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and Africana studies. In 1989, he founded and served as executive director of the Coalition for Positive Youth Development; a coalition of organizations assembled to remediate Flint’s burgeoning youth gang problem.

Gwen Wright

Gwen Wright is a writer, director, and actress who started her career at the Karamu House in Cleveland, Ohio. She has written several screen and stage plays and her work has been on stages across the US. She has completed three films and has collaborated with filmmakers as a writer and director.
