Teri Sue Parker began her career of community service in Lincoln City Oregon, where she raised two daughters, and hosted a local TV show, Wake Up Lincoln City. Her messages on the show combined with her community service, resulted in becoming nominate for woman of the year. Then in 1977 becoming, Mrs. Lincoln City, Mrs. Physical Fitness, Mrs. Congeniality, and Mrs. Community Service… Now after marrying her husband Dr. Bruce Parker and moving to Temecula, she yearned to find her place in community service, and she certainly has.
When COVID began to close down the city, her first concern was, seniors… After seeing the long lines in the grocery, she thought, how are seniors that are at risk and cannot leave their home, going to eat?
Being a woman of action, that day she made a sign and planted it in her front yard. “Operation Temecula Food Drive” and put a big box in front of it. After reaching out to local business, she her first donation, from a loving Chamber member; OTFD was born. Since, she has fed hundreds of isolated seniors, cancer patients, wounded veterans, and families at risk. Her service was noticed by California Assembly member of the 75th district Marie Walden, who recognized her as being a COVID-19 Community hero. Now OTFD has officially become a non-profit organization, “Good Samaritan Community Food Pantry. Besides serving the isolated seniors, and families at risk, she wanted them to have a wonderful holiday and following her message, Live, Love, Give… She launched a very successful adopt a senior, and family for Thanksgiving and Christmas. And brought much needed love to the Temecula Valley.
Dr. Bruce Parker's background features 43 years of consistent excellence in highly visible, responsible roles. He developed a small chain of 13 Chiropractic Clinics. And then began teaching other chiropractors how to develop their own clinics following the procedures he developed to maintain his own clinics.
Dr Bruce retired from practice in 2010, and since then has authored three books. His Book the Turnaround became a #1 Best seller on amazon for business. He is very active with the Good Samaritan Food pantry, whether being involved with food deliveries or maintaining the corporate books of this 501c3 non-profit organization.
