There are plenty of stories of people finding their personal 'pots of gold' directly from the labors of their podcast. Statistically speaking, 'plenty' is not a sound case to bet the farm on anything. Make sure your expectations for the podcast are realistic and attainable.

You're not getting feedback from your work. This is not a sign that your work is not good. This is more of a problem of sample size and the newness of your podcast.
