So many of us look at the world and see things that displease and confuse us. We wish the world would change. The irony in that thought is that, of course, the world is changing very much every day. The problem is that it is not changing in the ways that we want it to change.

Let’s stop thinking that we can or will change ‘the world’. But instead focus on changing our little corner of the world.

If there is something that we need to change about us, let’s be willing to do so. We don’t know what kind of ripple effect that can have on those closest to us. And if it inspires them to change in similar ways as well… Only time will tell.

By focusing on us as individuals and on our immediate surroundings, families, and/or towns, we will become agents of change… agents of transformation.
