It’s a special episode of Jacked Ramsays as host Danny Marang got to sit down and talk to the Portland Trail Blazer’s newest draft pick, Greg Brown III about what his initial transition to the NBA has been like, what he’s doing with his free time and why his mail goal is to fail.

Listener’s submitted questions for Greg about; who he models his game after if anyone, the comparisons that have been made to Jerami Grant, what it has been like for a rookie to come and play with Damian Lillard, the shock factor of being in the NBA, what he’s learned from his father and grandfather - both of which were successful collegiate athletes - and of course we asked him all his viral East Bay in game dunk during the NBA Summer League... as well as whether or not there’s been any kind of competition between himself and his new teammates for overall “bounce” supremacy.

It’s a Mail Bag Monday on Jacked Ramsays and hosts Danny Marang and Brandon Sprague take on your very Jusuf Nurkic centered questions wit just under two weeks to go before the Portland Trail Blazers head to training camp and officially open the 2021-2022 NBA season.

The Athletic’s Jason Quick has an article out detailing and discussing how excited Jusuf Nurkic is to play for Chauncey Billups and while he doesn’t mention former Head Coach Terry Stotts by name he definitely indicates he wasn’t happy with his role and that spurred a lot of questions this week as many asked something along the lines of: how much better can Jusuf Nurkic be? What can the Blazers do to allow him to be more successful? How likely will a role change impact the Blazers? Could Nurkic find himself in the company of big men that team’s run their offense through like Joel Embiid, Nikola Jokic, Domantas Sabonis, Anthony Davis and Julius Randle?

As training camp inches closer will Anfernee Simons and Nassir Little make the jumps we’ve seen from past Blazers in years 3 and 4 as the need for their growth has never been greater? Will we see the Blazers re-sign and/or extend any of Nurkic, Simons or Robert Covington before the season? That and more on this weeks’ episode!

On this episode of Jacked Ramsays - it’s a delayed mail bag edition as host Danny Marang broke everything Sunday night and forced the pod to a Tuesday night/Wednesday morning release, but we will not be denied! Questions run the gamut, as listeners asked about the Ben Simmons saga, trading Jusuf Nurkic before he hits free agency, the best and worst owners in the NBA, if Norman Powell or CJ McCollum should/could consider coming off the bench and what is the potential for this team if EVERYTHING goes right? Are the a Finals contender? Conference Finals?

The Denver Nuggets are missing Jamal Murray to start the year, the Los Angeles Clippers won’t have Kawhi Leonard likely all season, the Los Angeles Lakers are led by the 35 and over squad with LeBron James and the Golden State Warriors won’t have Klay Thompson back until probably around Christmas - are the Blazers in play for a top 4 seed?

On this week's Jacked Ramsays Live - hosts Danny Marang and Brandon Sprague hit on the soap opera like saga of Ben Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers, the impact it could have on the 76ers - what are the best/worst scenarios to play out, the Trail Blazers invite Patrick Patterson to training camp and the season is fast approaching so Sprague had to fire off some absolutely terrible movie takes to start the show!

It’s an all new Mail Bag podcast on Jacked Ramsays as hosts Danny Marang and Brandon Sprague tackle your burning Trail Blazers questions!

This week, listeners wanted to know all about training camp invitees; guard Dennis Smith Jr. and Marquese Chriss - both lottery picks in the last 5 years that are on the outside looking in on an NBA roster. Which player should Portland be looking to add? Why aren’t they currently rostered? Could the Blazers be looking to invite a 3rd or 4th player to camp? Do you believe these are the last moves the Blazers will make before the season?

If you don’t believe this is the last move, well they’ve got you covered here as they take on multiple questions about the possibility of swapping Ben Simmons for CJ McCollum and what that might look like. What is keeping the deal from happening? Is it Daryl Morey and the 76ers or have the Blazers not made McCollum available? What would it take for it to come together? Will we see Simmons pursue the path of James Harden last year and flaunt his power at Morey and the 76ers, forcing them to take the best offer on the table or will the 76ers wait it out until they believe they have more leverage? That and a whole lot more on this week’s episode!

It's a mail bag Monday on Jacked Ramsays and host Danny Marang takes a look at what's inside - lo and behold, it's all about Larry Nance Jr! What grade do you give the trade for the Portland Trail Blazers? Will this deal make Damian Lillard "happy" - does it move the needle for him enough to want to stay committed even longer in Portland? What types of lineups do you see Nance being included in - is he a "4" - is he a "5" - will the Blazers be able to roll more lineup combos out there that matches the modern NBA? How does Nance Jr. stack up to last season's mid-year trade target, Aaron Gordon - now of the Denver Nuggets? What differences and/or similarities do you see between the two of them? Is the Portland fanbase looking at this trade with realistic expectations? Will Nance Jr be every 40-something Dad's favorite player? Could this trade be the one that pushes Portland over the top and into the upper echelon of the Western Conference with the Los Angeles Lakers, Phoenix Suns and Utah Jazz? Does adding Nance Jr allow for the Blazers to explore other trades that they couldn't before his addition?

It's all Nance, all the time - fire up your Fall Out Boy album because it's time to "Nance, Nance" your way into oblivion.

Friday morning the Portlan Trail Blazers made the move they’ve been trying to make for weeks - adding a big bodied wing-type that has the ability to raise the floor of the team, but perhaps not the ceiling— swinging Derrick Jones Jr and a heavily protected 1st round pick to the Chicago Bulls in a 3-team deal that also sent Lauri Markkanen to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and netted the Blazers Larry Nance Jr.

Host Danny Marang takes a look at the in’s and out’s of the trade - what does this do for Portland- is their position in the West really improved? Where will Nance fit in? Was an additional 1st round pick too much to give up in this trade? What does Nance Jr DO to help the Blazers?

When it’s all said an done - what other move will the Blazers make to fill the 14th roster spot and what grade would you give President of Basketball Operations Neil Olshey for his offseason work?

On this week's Jacked Ramsays Mail Bag pod, Danny Marang takes your questions on: How many wins will the Blazers get? Could the Blazers be a "Miracle on Ice" type team and run things all the way to a title? Trading or making moves for: Draymond Green from the Golden State Warriors, Kyle Anderson and/or Dillon Brooks from the Memphis Grizzlies? Is the urgency from Damian Lillard based on the success of "built team" like those of the Milwaukee Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo & Khris Middleton and Phoenix Suns with Devin Booker & Deandre Ayton? What and where would the Blazers' roster be if they were a true contender, based on Seth Partnow's NBA Player Tiers column? What kind of coach could/will Chauncey Billups be, and what kind of buy in will do for players like Lillard & CJ McCollum? That an more on this week's episode!
