Retired educator (coach, teacher, principal, superintendent) Jackie McBroom is not an author by trade, but has written "Historic Texas Gyms, a Tribute to Vanishing Traditions", which includes stories about unique and beautiful small town gyms that were built during the Depression and served as the hubs of their communities. Many are still standing and in use and McBroom joins One on One host Roger Emrich to talk about an Elvis sighting at several gyms in East Texas and the time Bonnie and Clyde watched a basketball game and signed autographs in Big Sandy.
