Jackin House - Disco House - Funky House

This is a rare recording from KISS 108FM Radio in Boston. It was a cool idea that KISS 108, along with radio jock, Tad Bonvie, of giving a 10 minute preview of Club DJ’s every Saturday night back in 1986. Caril was working at The Top Floor of the 1270 Club in Boston, at the time. The rules for the 10 minute mix, were to use 2 songs on rotation at KISS, and 2 new titles.

This is the only other recording that Caril had from back in the day. Her mixtape archives were stolen :( We are on the hunt for any of Caril's early DJ mixtapes. If you have any, or know of someone who does, please get in contact with us.

Er gehört mittlerweile auch zu Halles DJ Szene dazu.

We welcome the main man behind Simple Minded Beats in San Francisco California to the podcast for Volume 94. We first heard of Scott Hatfield when we got wind of his super dope mix for our friends at House Salad Music and were instantly fans of his sound and had to reach out to have him on board!

Scott Hatfield developed his passion for DJing around 1998. While working at a frame shop, he was introduced to House Music and the art of DJing by fellow coworkers. Listening to House in the back of the store lead to going to an actual event, hearing the music and being blown away by “Bad Boy Bill” live on 3 turntables.

From that point on Scott was hooked; he collected countless records and would endlessly practice to develop his own art and style of sound. Coming from an eclectic musical background his sound is fairly diverse - combining a hard-hitting tech sound with some funk, disco, a bit of jazz and a whole lot of soul.

As always, available for FREE DOWNLOAD!
