A new Bankrate survey out this morning shows that more than a third of adults are willing to go into debt to for a least one spurge like traveling, dining out or entertainment. This comes as credit card balances hit record-highs nationwide. We break down what may be driving up this trend.

Less than half of the units in the new development will be available for those making up to 120% of the county median income, though. Per the SJC Chamber of Commerce, only 3% of ALL the housing in the county actually falls within the intended budget.

A 60% approval vote is required to codify the state amendments.
