You Decide 2024 coverage continues as Kirstin looks at last night's debate, pointing out that there were standout moments, but not necessarily a standout candidate. While there were still the requisite personality conflicts, there was an emphasis on discussing policy positions. All of this was setting the stage for the next RNC debate on Sept. 27.

SEAT BELT RULE - This week, the U.S. Department of Transportation is proposing new changes aimed at boosting seat belt use by passengers in cars and trucks. Under the proposal, it would require automakers to vehicles with additional seat belt warning systems for the right front passenger and for rear seats to encourage increased seat belt use. Federal officials say this is critical. They say data shows almost 43,000 people died in car crashes in 2021 and half of those were in vehicles without a seat belt on. We break down the proposed rule and the potential impact to your safety on the roadways.

Michelle reports live from Atlanta, where preparations are underway for former President Trump's surrender to authorities later today. Trump's motorcade is expected sometime between 6pm and 9pm.

Logan reports on the "debut" of the Everbank Stadium signage as the Jaguars wrap up their pre-season at home this weekend. For long-time fans, it's a return to familiar branding, as Everbank was the facility's named sponsor from 2010-2018.
