Sources tell us proposed regulations will be announced that impact big trucks and calling for automatic emergency breaking systems. Highway safety leaders say this will have a deep impact on everyone who drives and improve the safety for heavy vehicles. This is something the administration has been working on in an effort to reduce “rear end crashes” involving big rigs. Fatalities involving big trucks have been on the rise in recent years and this announcement today is anticipated to help reduce those numbers.
