    New today, the U.S. Department of Transportation is unveiling a new tool to help families stay together when they fly. The new family seating dashboard allows travelers to see which airlines don’t charge fees for families to sit next to each other when they fly. It provides a clear comparison of services airlines say they’ll provide. That’s supposed to give families more information to make their choices. DOT also says it is putting pressure on airlines to get rid of these fees altogether. Some lawmakers have criticized Sec. Pete Buttigieg in the past for not responding quickly to different transportation-related incidents. We’ll explain how this tool will work, what else DOT is hoping airlines will do and how it will impact your family.
