A new national report highlights which states have the best and the worst policies to prevent and/or reduce tobacco use. In this “State of Tobacco Control” report, it finds that Maine, Massachusetts (WFXT) and DC have the best policies nationwide while Alabama, Mississippi, North Carolina (WSOC) and Texas need some major improvement. These findings come after Congress pushed for new changes at the federal level to prevent youth tobacco use. This includes passing legislation requiring the FDA to regulate tobacco products made with synthetic nicotine. We breakdown these latest findings plus we have state-by-state data for this story.
