His cancer journey began in 2014 with a decline in his vision -- but it wasn't his eye! Research discovered cranial cancer and led to treatment at the UF Proton Therapy Institute in Jacksonville. In 2019, he concluded his treatment, and has not experienced any tumor regrowth since. He credits the UFPTI with enabling him to have and enjoy his future.

Florida lawmakers approved a bill to rename Palm Beach International Airport after President Trump. The bill passed on a majority vote of 25-11. all objecting votes belonging to Democrats. The bill advances to Gov. DeSantis to be signed into law, pending approval from the FAA. The airport currently offers direct international flights to destinations in Canada and the Caribbean.
