On March 31, 2010, 31-year-old Jacob Cabinaw spent the evening playing a casual round of frisbee golf with a friend in Traverse City, Michigan. When the game wrapped up, Jacob’s friend invited him to hang out at a local park, but he declined, saying he had homework to do for his college classes. He dropped the friend off and said he was heading home to his mom’s house, where he lived. But It was the last time anyone in Michigan would see Jacob Cabinaw.
In the coming days, puzzling clues emerged suggesting that instead of driving home, Jacob had driven over 1,200 miles south instead. By the end of that week, Jacob had vanished without a trace, leaving behind a mystifying trail that stretched from Michigan to Texas, and a family who doesn’t believe he would have left them willingly.
If you have any information about the disappearance of Jacob Cabinaw, please contact the Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office at 231-995-5002, or submit an anonymous tip through their website.
