Jacob Wick journeys to Athens from Mexico City once again for Standard Deviation 3 on August 18th, 2019.  The solo trumpet player performs “today seems like a nice enough day for this."  A weather-based composition first performed at the Blanton Museum in Austin, TX, during the No Idea Festival. The performer must add together the high and low temperatures (in Celsius) for the day to arrive at the duration of the piece. The percent chance of precipitation determines the amount of silence in the performance.  Jacob nested another of one of his compositions in the middle called "Your Daddy's Rich."  Altogether a challenging but rewarding experience.
