This week I talk about obedience and why it's expected from instructors, teachers and parents. It's not all about them just getting you to do what they want you to. It goes much deeper.

We all know we should be sincere with the people we have a relationship. But are you sincere with yourself and if you're not how is that getting in the way of achieving your goals.

If you're not growing and do not have a growth mindset it will be extremely difficult for you to accomplish any goal, especially in the martial arts. Join me this week as I talk about the importance of growth. 

This week I talk about why courtesy is a concept that is intertwined with the martial arts philosophy. 

This week I conclude my discussion about the 7 Codes of Bushido. Our final code is Personal Honor and I give my thoughts on how taking pride in what you do is important to enhance your training in the martial arts. 

Everyone would agree that honesty is a good quality for a person to have. Doing what you say is essential to build trust. In the martial arts world, or any world for that matter,  it would be difficult to learn from an instructor who you felt was not honest. On the flipside it is extremely difficult to reach your goals if you are not constantly being honest with yourself. Listen in this week as I give my thoughts.
