J'ai tant rêvé de toi | I have dreamed of you so much

Listen Later

Brussels 2024, Ondine writes to French poet Robert Desnos, whose words she feels have become ingrained in her. She addresses her letter to the radio programme where he used to analyse dreams, in 1938. In a world that frightens her, she turns to the poet for refuge. A century earlier, in Paris, Robert Desnos, in the company of the Surrealists, engages in hypnotic slumbers during which he utters poems and prophecies. Slowly times change, charged with anguish. The poet seems to sense the presence of an apparition, a voice from afar. An immortal narrator recounts this unlikely encounter.

A radio drama written and directed by Roxane Ca'Zorzi, produced by De Capes et de Mots and ACSR. With the support of FACR
