I think your motivation has its roots in your own desire to envision yourself into something higher..if you don't have that desire , even if you are given a position, you will struggle to elevate yourself..and if you have that desire even if you are just the junior most staff, you will just own up things as if you are the manager itself and will envision yourself literally into that position..Any external people or factors can show you way or fan your motivational spark, but the seed and the roots of motivation are deep inside you ready to be sprout and grow..
