Jed Green, head of Oklahomans for Responsible Cannabis Action, spearheaded the effort to legalize medical marijuana in Oklahoma via state question 788 in 2018.  He talks with me about why he believes this was a needed initiative and why he is opposed to the upcoming state question 820 which would legalize recreational marijuana in Oklahoma. He is not opposed to recreational marijuana because, for him, it is a "freedom issue." But he disapproves of the way SQ820 attempt to achieve this as it mimics the California and Colorado model which requires grows to and dispensaries to carry a dual license - one for medical and one for recreational.  

In addition, we talk about signature ballots in general in Oklahoma and why rural Oklahoma still has a voice in the process.

Senator Nathan Dahm discusses a resent joint resolution he is trying to get heard in the Senate that seeks to ban Ukraine from training its soldiers in Oklahoma. He talks about why this is a bad idea and why there is resistance to this resolution in Senate leadership. 

Senator Dahm is also attempting for the second year in a row to advance a bill to empower local sheriffs to stand against beaurocratic federal overreach.
