Jake of all Stews episodes

  • Ryan Rainey: Lots of life experience at a young age
My cousin Ryan joins me today for the first episode in my garage "Loft Lounge". Ryan is a bright young mind with tons of potential and a great outlook on life. I have spent a fair bit of time with him over the last 12 months and it has been great to see his maturity keep up with his growth spurt. (I did indeed look up how to spell "spurt")
Thanks Ryan for sitting with me, the future is yours to do what you want with.

  • Uncle Jay: Succeeding Through Life
Time flew for me in this one and there is still more to talk about. Hopefully Uncle Jay will have time to sit and talk more about of his current life and raising a family. Thank you for taking the time to sit with me through my conversation with another of my great family members. I hope yopu enjoyed the war stories, fatherhood, and work struggle in this episode.

  • How to keep on keeping on, with my Grandma.
I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation. Grandma had a few edits she wanted to post: She married at 19 and had her first child (my Mom) about one year later and her second child less than a year after the first! Also, my great grandma was married at 15 and had 8 children!
Grandma I can't thank you enough for spending time with me, without you there would be no me. I love you.

  • Talking Kegels with my sister???
I join my younger sister Claire in her Floridian home. The conversation covers many topics: from growing up together, family traits, personalities, life experiences, fights and much more. This was probably the first long conversation I have ever had with Claire and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am looking forward to doing it again in the future.

Claire is a 27 year old veterinarian who graduated vet school from Mizzou. She is married to Mike, "pole vault" Vani, and they ARE CAT PEOPLE, so look out.

  • How high did I jump ? My first time pole vaulting, with Mike Vani
This is a good listen people. I learned to pole vault in an hour. Made less than 30 jumps. My great coach and brother in law Mike Vani broke it down to the basics. He kept it fun and positive. This conversation is shortly after my first, and so far only, pole vault session. We dive into all things pole vaulting as he shares his 14 years of knowledge in the sport! Grip up, run smooth, and jump deep into this one!

  • How I met my Wife: The fallout. Part5
I decided to make this one into a video, slash, slideshow to give some visual context from the first four parts of our conversation. From the first wheeling trip to our little baby boy, its all there... Please visit Jake Stew on YOUTUBE for all the great photos and video to compliment our story.
Thanks for listening and if you want to see parts one through four on YOUTUBE for easier viewing/listening, please let me know.

  • How I met my Wife: My solo rant. Part3
This is a direct continuation from part 2. Little man needed a diaper and some feed time. I went on for a little while until posing a question that cause my wife to interject. I paused the recording until Jackson was finished eating. Part four gets dicey near the end with a juicy argument. Subscribe to see how it turns out!

  • How I met my Wife: the unusual build up. Part1
Episode one is here! Come on down the rabbit hole that is my life. This is part one of five. The end of part four is juicy. Part 5 will be a personal review by myself and my wife Jenn of the initial conversation. Also, our reactions on hearing ourselves laugh, and argue for the first time ever. Stay tuned!
