Jake's Takes

In this episode Jake is joined by his guy Evan Blanchard in order to discuss some MLB Baseball. They begin the podcast by diving deep into the Detroit Tigers and how their season has gone so far (2:31). After that Jake asks Evan to give him the top 5 contenders that we should be looking out for when the MLB Playoffs are upon us (12:00). 5. Rangers (12:29). 4. Astros (17:10). 3. Dodgers (21:30). 2. Braves (25:10). 1. Rays (29:16). Then Jake asks Evan to pick between the Braves and the Rays as who the average fan should think the frontrunner for the World Series is (33:01).

In this podcast Jake is joined by his Hockey guy Peter Murphy in order to catch everybody up on what is going on in the hockey world. To begin the podcast Jake asks Peter about how the Red Wings have been doing (2:06). That leads into a big talk about the lottery and one of the best prospects in the hockey world and that is Connor Bedard (4:48). Then they switch over to talking about the NHL Playoffs and they talk about the intensity of the sport (12:59). Then they switch over to the adjustment side of the playoffs and how coaching has a great effect on the results of the playoff (16:00). Which leads into talking about the historic Boston Bruins blowing a 3-1 lead to the Florida Panthers (17:41). Then Jake asks Peter his opinion about the officiating in the first round and how Hockey officiating can be different to other sports (21:06). Then they switch over to talking about the Conference Finals for both the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference (24:00). Finally, Jake asks Peter who he believes will win the Stanley Cup (41:09).

In this episode Jake is joined by not one but two Marty's in Marty Hannon and Marty Massucci. In this podcast these three deep dive into the marvel universe after going to see the new Guardians of the Galaxy Movie. They begin the podcast by talking about their instant reactions to the movie (1:11). After that they switch over to looking at the Guardians of the Galaxy movies as a series and where those three movies would rank against other successful MCU products like Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor (9:09). After this they talk about where some of the Guardians are left in the universe now and what is going to be next for the characters (18:43). Then to conclude the show they talk about the future of the MCU and if this can be a turning point for the Marvel Universe (26:48).

In Part 2 of Episode 19 Jake goes through every single 2nd round NBA Playoff Series. He starts out with Lakers vs Warriors (1:05), then moves to Suns vs Nuggets (7:24), Then goes to the east with Knicks vs Heat (12:22), and Sixers vs Celtics (16:54).

In this Episode Jake is joined again by his guy Giovanni Moceri. They begin the episode by talking a little bit about their last episode together and talk about the Super Bowl (3:00). After that they shift over to the Detroit Lions draft and talk about each of their picks (6:20). After that Giovonni and Jake go through some of their favorite picks in the draft that weren't picks from the Lions (27:46). Then finally Jake and Giovonni rank there top 5 teams going into next season in the NFL (40:30).

In this episode Jake begins the podcast by discussing the Aaron Rodgers trade and what it means for both sides (1:33). Then Jake shifts over to the NFL Draft and discusses who he believes will go in the top 6 of the draft (8:19). Then finally Jake sets a 20-minute timer and challenges himself to go through each series in that amount of time. He starts with Cavs vs Knicks (16:50), then moves to Bucks vs Heat (22:06), then Grizzlies vs Lakers (25:54), Warriors vs Kings (29:33), Celtics vs Hawks (32:00), Nuggets vs Timberwolves (33:49), 76ers vs Nets (35:21), and finally Suns vs Clippers (36:39).

In this episode Jake is Joined by his guy Aaron Smith to preview everything NFL Draft. Jake and Aaron start the podcast by going through their top QBs to look out for in this draft (2:35). Richardson vs Levis (5:30). Young vs Stroud (7:54). Then Jake and Aaron shift over to the DL and talk about both the interior and the exterior Defensive Lineman to look out for in the draft (10:50). After that Aaron gives you some sleepers that you should look out for that could make some noise next season (15:48). Then to close the podcast in a long segment Aaron and Jake split up teams between the two of them and do a full mock draft of the top 20 picks in the upcoming NFL Draft (21:41).

In this episode Jake is joined by his guy Drew Comer for Part 2 of their NBA Playoff Preview. To begin the episode Jake and Drew Go through each Playoff Series. The first series they go through is the Bucks vs either the Heat or the Bulls (2:30). After that they move onto the Celtics vs the Hawks (8:46). Then they move into the 76ers vs the Nets (15:34). And then they talk about Cavs vs Knicks (21:52). Then after the break Drew gives us his updated NBA Finals pick (27:21). Then Jake closes off with his NBA Finals Pick (34:20).
