Hands up if you know you struggle with insecurity? Of all my biggest strongholds in life, none have been as detrimental insecurity. Every regretful decision I've made, honestly, is connected to having been unsure of who God created me to be, thus I looked to other people or things to tell me who I was.

Still on a journey to overcome it, here are my thoughts on how having more self- and spiritual awareness can help CATCH and CAST DOWN thoughts of insecurities before they take root and impact your actions.

In our fast paced society, it's so easy to run on autopilot and lose sight on the true meaning of the tasks we're doing. As we start off a new week in a new month, let's reflect: "Are we focused on what truly matters?"

When God calls you to something that requires an incredible amount of faith, it's hard to NOT monitor the time it takes to actually see it come to pass. Recently, I joined my sister and her church for 21 Days of Prayer, and this episode is what I sensed as God's encouragement to stop selfishly monitoring my prayers.

Sometimes, we look up and don't even realize we have taken on more than we should. We may have meant well but can't sustain the things on our plate. That's when it's time to reassess, with discernment, by asking, "Yes, I CAN do this, but SHOULD I, in this season?"
