Earlier in May, during Mental Health Awareness Week, Jamie, The Long Distance Coach had a chat with health and wellbeing coach, Amanda Marren from over the Irish Sea.
In this special episode, Amanda tells us about her recent fundraising 5k run, and then takes us on her journey of transformation from working as an overworked manager in London and Dublin to being a chilled out Health Coach and Yoga Practitioner who enjoys relaxing holidays in exotic places.
We talk briefly about our coaching sessions together and where she would like to take her business ambitions.
Amanda then tells us about her new passion for sea swimming and connecting with nature in the freezing Irish Sea and the mental health benefits it has brought to her and her group of friends.
Welcome to this latest edition of Jamie's Coach Journey shot in Glasgow before the England v Scotland game on 18th June 2021. The sound quality is unfortunately a bit quiet.
I introduce you to a Callum Cubbage, a General Manager in Engineering and a friend who I have caught up with after a 10 or 11 year gap.
In the video, Callum talks about some of the ways I have impacted his life. He talks about achieving happiness from a place of emotional turmoil following a long-term relationship breakdown.
Listen as holistic therapies business owner Claire Taylor talks with me to discuss challenging moments during the Covid-19 global pandemic which she was able to overcome with amazing results.
I have been waiting for a while to do something like this video with Claire.
I have known her for decades (literally!) and I love how she has been building up her business over the past few years.
Then when the global pandemic took over life as we knew it, I wondered how small business owners like Claire would manage.
Would her business survive?
What challenges would she face?
My experience of Claire has always been that she is professional, resilient, goal oriented, and very much grounded in nature with a true passion for serving the best she can.
In this video, we talk about our joint firewalking experience at Tir na Nog in 2019 before the country went into lockdown.
I had just come back from my 500-mile walk on the Camino de Santiago and was of a “discerned” mindset. So to begin afresh, I asked Claire if I could do the firewalk with her.
Claire also talks about her work at a local hospice and the challenges being in so many lockdowns caused.
She demonstrates her resilience when talking about how she manages Taylor Made Holistics, her holistic therapies business and her own wellbeing during the global pandemic.
In wrapping up, Claire talks about her coaching experience with me, in particular my use of NLP, and how it resulted in her wanting to do more of what she once had feared.
Have you ever found yourself in a moment of despair and then someone changes your life forever?
Can you remember the last time you received an act of kindness or a gift and then realise a year or two later how significant it was on your journey in life?
Has your life and future ever been in the hands of others?
Dawn reveals all in this exclusive interview.
I first met Dawn in January during my SpeakUP Challenge, and I always remember our first interaction as we were put into our first breakout rooms on Zoom to find out more about eachother.
At that time, writing a book was an idea I had and something I had tried a couple of times before to start. I can’t quite put my finger on it yet, but there was something about Dawn that rekindled the idea. Three months later, I am actively writing my book every day. For this reason, I invited Dawn to talk to me so I could learn about her new book as well as discover who the real Dawn is. Her story is fascinating.
Be sure to listen to the end, for Dawn’s story is truly inspiring and very thought-provoking and she also has some kind words for me!
