This week Alec and David cover the third major studio release by Pantera, "Far Beyond Driven". The heaviest album to ever top the no. 1 on Billboard, it has been praised by fans, critics, and musicians alike. What is the one thing record companies can learn from trying to tell metal bands to go pop? Keep doing it because it only pisses them off and creates their heaviest record yet. This episode has everything from drills up the butt, to chronic back pain, to David *attempting* to talk like Philip Anselmo. Welcome to the Metal Jam baby!
David and Alec bring you the first episode of Metal Jammin'! The sub-show where we talk everything metal/hard rock and for the first episode we review the album that became the most loved amongst teens and hated amongst Karen's. Slipknot's 2nd album, Iowa. The sophomore follow up to their self-titled, Iowa was by far the bands heaviest album to date and remains to this day. Coming out just prior to the events of 9/11, we look back 20 years at the band during this time and how they gave everything they had, emotionally and physically, during the recording of this album. So jump into the world of metal with the first episode of METAL JAMMIN'!
