We meet owner Ainsley Brooks, owner of Meet Jamrock Lounge and Grill, in the city's southeast, who just got back from Jamaica, which was hammered by Hurricane Melissa. Ainsley frequently travels to his home for the spices that flavour his jerk chicken, tacos and Jamaican patties. He grew up in a large family in Jamaica with his grandma lighting - and feeding the way. He is one of QR Calgary's Small Business Week Award winners.
