This week's guest is Benjamin Wagley of Nijobe Softworks. Nijobe Softworks is a small independent game studio located in Grand Prairie Texas lead by industry professionals with the intent of creating engaging games as well as offering opportunities for aspiring game creators to help "Get their foot in the door". Although the studio is located in Grand Prairie Texas, they do have a creator working remotely. We talk about his role and positions and what the future holds for him in the world of gaming as well as some things that can and will move the industry forward.

On this episode of Jams and Joysticks is Jarory de Jesus. He is a game developer who specializes in narrative design, implementation, and programming. Jarory inspires his colleagues and next generation of developers through collaborative projects and teaching game development. As a developer he's worked on properties such as Madden, Marvel, and Star Wars as both a Narrative and Technical Designer. He dedicates his spare time to a Hip Hop RPG which he describes as a passion project. He has participated in multiple game jams including global game jam and train jam. As a developer of color, he seeks to amplify minority voices through inclusive design, unique perspectives in narrative, community service, and activism. Jarory is also a community organizer for Black in Gaming (BiG) and a member of the Latinx in Gaming community.⁣⁠ ——————————————————
