This week on the Eight One Sixty, we’re talking about the Jane Doe Revue: Female Rock Orchestra - A Benefit for Abby's Fund, happening at recordBar on this Saturday, June 8. The Jane Doe Revue is a female rock orchestra formed in the spring of 2017. The mission of this project is to bring together women of any age, culture, affiliation and label to honor women in every shape and form and make music together. We’ll hear music from some of the women playing at this fundraiser and get details about the event from special guest and The Bridge's Content Manager, Michelle Bacon. We’ll play music from Amy Farrand and The LikeOther AmericansBlue False Indigo and Violet and the Undercurrents.

After that we’re going to dive into some brand new music and hear from KC/Lawrence acts: Mene MeneVolker BrothersJason Buice and Kemet the Phantom, plus Young Dubliners, who are performing at the KC Irish Center this Friday.
