The vast majority of people tend to take a moment during the last days of each year to reflect upon the past weeks and months and to make plans for the upcoming year.
Maybe, you did this during this past week. I know that I did.
The ancient philosopher Socrates stated that. . .
“The unexamined life is really not worth living.”
How do you think about or describe your Christian life to yourself?
We might say that we are a pretty good judge of character.
However, I will assure you that this is not always the case with us.
As I thought about this, I came up with the following. . .
While we can be fooled by others, we are most able and apt to fool ourselves.
Just think of the times you said to yourself after a failure, "I was just fooling myself!"
Do we ever fool ourselves concerning our spiritual life?
The Christian runner is to focus his eyes and mind upon Jesus Christ. Why? Because Jesus Christ Himself ran the race of faith when He was upon earth, and He shows us exactly how to run it.
