Jacob learns the true meaning of God being with him. He discovers that his efforts to protect himself have not made him wealthy. God has been working in the background to accomplish this. Jacob finally learns to rely on the Lord’s presence in his life rather than his own ingenuity.

Rachel has not learned this lesson yet, but Jacob grows in his confidence in his own integrity. God honors his mustard seed of faith.
