Sudden torrential downpour in Nakano, Nagano Prefecture today just before 3PM. Simultaneously there were tornado warnings in Yamanouchi Town, which is just a few kilometers up the road. 15 minutes later it was sunny.

Part of my walk today around 6PM in #YamanouchiTown here in #Nagano, #Japan. This is where the largest #ski resort is in Japan, as well as the home of the world famous #SnowMonkeys.

This is the first five minutes of the view from the window of the Snow Monkey Express train upon departure from Yudanaka Station this morning at 10:50. The apple orchards and mountains were quite beautiful.
