Since day one of my show I have always promoted humanity's ability to shift our paradigms and expand our viewpoints while venturing outside of our typical comfort zones.  Last year when George Floyd was murdered by D. Chauvin during the longest 9 and 1/2 minutes of our lives, I decided to attend several peaceful protests in Tampa supporting Black Lives Matter. During one of the protests, I had the pleasure of becoming acquainted with Roshonda Kelly, Marquita Julien-Kelly and Deondre Hodge of The Covering Foundation. They were offering food and support to those who were attending the protests in Tampa.  As soon as I became acquainted with these three amazing individuals I knew that I wanted to invite them on the show to share their message to members of our audience.  The Foundation seeks to protect and support LGBTQ rights by envisioning a world where all people are free to express their gender identity and sexual orientation with pride and live in a safe place free from harassment, prejudice or discrimination.  We hope you enjoy this interview!

I am pleased to welcome my dear friend and returning Special Guest Melissa Carroll to show.  Caroll joins us to discuss her work as The Yoga Writer and about her use of mindfulness, yoga, and writing to help others. Melissa is an Acclaimed Writer, Certified Yoga Instructor, Reiki Master, and Meditation Guide.  She is the Editor of the essay collection Going OM: Real-Life Stories on and off the Yoga Mat. Carroll is the author of 3 poetry books and is a former creative writing professor.  She currently teaches an online course called The Holy Shift, which helps you share your story and get your message out in the world. 

Carroll once suffered from Anxiety and Depression, but through the adoption of Reiki Energy Healing and Yoga principles she developed healthy coping mechanisms to effectively manage her Anxiety and Depression. Carroll received her Master in Fine Arts Degree in Creative Writing from the University of South Florida. Her website is www.theyogawriter.com.

Special Hybrid Format For Programming Tonight: 1) First 30-Minutes of the show, Special Guest Dr. Arthorine Walker ([email protected]) Discusses "The Hurt From Within: A Self Help Book." 2) Second 30-Minutes of the show, we will continue with "Socialize with Jason Zuk: Free psychic readings with the audience." I really believe in synchronicity or the idea that certain things line up for a reason that is likely larger than we realize in our 3d world. I am switching up the format for tonight’s show to introduce a special guest, Dr. Arthorine Walker and I hope that you enjoy what we are about to discuss.  I was introduced to Dr. Walker through my older brother Jamie Ciofalo, a previous special guest on our show. When my brother highly recommended Dr. Walker to discuss her background and achievements I knew that I had to invite her on the show.  

Originally from Jamaica, Dr. Walker has held many jobs, beginning as a housekeeper, and continuing her education by obtaining two masters degrees and a doctorate degree. Dr. Walker currently holds her position as a special education teacher at Dwight Morrow High School in Englewood, NJ.  What I want to do tonight is present Dr. Walker in a way that few get to see.  She has worked hard to not only elevate herself but she sacrificed in many ways to help her children and in my opinion her story emphasis our perpetual stride to pursue the ideals of the American Dream where we come to achieve and advance ourselves so that our posterity and others might benefit.  Dr. Walker has authored a book called, The Hurt From Within: A Self Help Book that addresses recent events associated with adjusting to our “new” normal from the pandemic and Covid 19.  To contact Dr. Walker, please email her at [email protected].

Synchronicity is a very powerful force that is subtly at work in our daily lives. Jason and Max Shevrin have known each other for several years from Max working at his law firm during college and law school.   Max is now licensed to practice law in Florida.  A few weeks ago, Max shared a link promoting his brother, Kyle Shevrin’s new hit scripted action-comedy podcast, “Unwanted,” and Jason recognized the podcast as something special that he wanted to share with our audience. Kyle’s new show “Unwanted” was co-created by Kyle and Lamorne Morris and it stars Lamorne Morris and Billy Magnussen, and its produced by QCode.  It concerns two slackers, Ben (Lamorne Morris) and Grant (Billy Magnussen) attempt to catch an escaped convicted murderer, Shelly O'Keith (Jamie-Lee O'Donnell) who is allegedly hiding in their town to cash in on the million-dollar reward the police are offering.
