I am trained in gorilla marketing and I'm the top YouTuber in the entire Gaming section. You are nothing to me but just another subscriber. I will wipe you the bleep out with response-videos the likes of which have never been seen before on this Earth, flag my bleeping words. You think you can get away with writing that comment to me over the Internet? Think again, streamer. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of patreons across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for a doxxing, maggot. The doxxing that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your channel. You're bleeping copyright striked, kid. I can react anywhere, anytime, and I can take your channel down in over seven hundred ways, and that's just with the terms of service. Not only am I extensively trained in flagging content, but I have access to the entire arsenal of my mostly teenage discord server and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable channel off the face of the continent, you little YouTuber. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little "clever" comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your bleeping tongue. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will bleep dislikes all over you and you will drown in it. You're bleeping demonetized, kiddo.

Actually making good on a promise from a previous episode, Austin and I chat about empire and its consequences. What does it mean when people say America's foreign policy has come home, and what does that have to do with Fight Club? Why are there so many connections between the movies In Bruges and The Prince of Egypt? Is it possible for Austin to do a good opener? 2/3 questions will be answered.

The real coup was the friends we made along the way. Austin and I chatted a few days after the inauguration about the Capitol Hill riot on January 6th. As usual, the conversation gets into obscure Twitter disputes and Star Wars.

In this New Year's special of the J+A podcast, Jay is pretty drunk so this episode gets really loose really fast. Austin moved to a dog-free but somehow still loud apartment. I try to take the air out of the overinflated image of Germany's COVID response. Austin shares his experience voting in person and we both complain about the GOP and the Electoral College. We end by talking about civility and promising to have this same conversation again. Maybe next time we'll actually do the YouTube episode? Spooooooky topics for our Halloween special.

Jay and I sat down today and reckoned with the serious fact that even in a utopia, you probably get mad sometimes and take it out on the dog in a way that's not fair to the dog or to you. We also talk about Joe Biden's dog, anarchist apartment buildings, police raids, train sabotage, German politics and draw comparisons to the US, especially in form of historical literacy, policing and COVID. I promise it's not near as heavy (or as exciting) as it sounds.
