A tenant is a person who occupies land or property from a landlord. While a landlord is someone who owns a property. Before a property is leased out, there are stipulated conditions given by the landlord and understanding these terms and conditions is crucial for a positive renting experience.

She is between the age of 24-28 years, a graduate and has a good job. She has been longing to relocate to a better location from where she is currently staying. 2 weeks ago, she found an apartment that she liked and was willing to pay the rent and move in immediately. They had settled everything with the house agent. She suddenly got a call from the agent informing her that she can't take the house due to her 'Marital status' she wrote the potential tenants form. The agent told her that the landlord does not want a single woman to stay in his house.
Why do landlords have such requirements?
Should a woman be discriminated because of her singleness?
Kindly advice our community member who is really pained by this experience
