What type of car best represents you as a person?
Our guest today, Matt Bonsal, already has his… and he’s building a car for the Red Bull Soapbox Race too.
Matt has known about this race for over 10 years. He’s watched all of the videos, seen all of the places they’ve gone around the world, and knew it would be something that he’d enjoy.
But because he lives in Iowa, he thought he would never get that opportunity until he heard at the beginning of the year that Red Bull was coming to Des Moines.
He started developing a concept that would make him stand out and represent Des Moines in a nonconforming way.
In this episode, Mackenzie and Mark chat with Matt about alllllll of the things that go into the application process, construction of the soapbox car, and the day of the event. Ready to d(r)ive on in? Click play now!

We hope you are, because this episode is jam packed with mindset-heavy advice from Jill Andersen that she has gathered from her own life experiences.
Jill is a speaker and life coach who has the BEST insight on why you need to give two SHOULDs about aligning what your values and what you’re doing with who you want to be and where you want to go.
We spoke about deep topics, including:
Personal development in relation to jealousy is something many people overlook (ourselves included, hello imposter syndrome!) but the longer you keep hearing the word should come out of your mouth, the more important it becomes to take the should out of it and just do.
>>This is what it means to SHOULD or get off the pot… okay that was the last pun we promise.<<

Do you want to know what Bobby Rehkemper’s #1 piece of advice is?
No, it doesn’t have to do with principles, goal-setting, or deadlines…
It’s as simple as this: don't be a dick.
An outsider would hear that and say, “Wait, did that just come out of a lawyer's mouth?!” But after working with Bobby and his firm, GRL Law, since 2019, we are not surprised with this coming out of his mouth.
Bobby doesn’t conform to the typical idea of what a lawyer is. He is full of energy, life, and passion while spreading the message of not being a dick.
>>Take it from Bobby who was a self-proclaimed smart ass as a kid and has now been practicing law for almost 20 years!<<
In this conversation, Bobby tells his story of becoming a lawyer, how he went from hating running to entering in Half Ironman’s, and the one thing you should NEVER do when you go to Hawaii.
Ladies and gentlemen, this guy is going to put a smile on your face and we can’t wait for you to hear all about him… so without further ado, click play now!
Have you ever had something that was eating at you?
This feeling is something Robert Deitch is all too familiar with and is exactly what you’re going to hear about today!
Robert is a singer and MusicRow staff writer, who has written over 25 songs that have been cut by other artists. Robert writes meaningful, image filled songs that provide the listener a vivid story experience with a voice that can be described as blue collar smooth, yet gritty.
Like a fine bourbon, with a hint of gravel dust.
In our conversation, Robert talks about leaving the boardroom to take a chance on a melody that’s always been playing in the back of his mind and how that has led him to work with some of Nashville’s finest.
We all have the ability to be a Dorito in a world of potato chips, click play to hear Robert’s journey of listening to that hunger now!
If you enjoyed this conversation as much as we did, shoot us a DM @itsbingbang on your favorite social media platform and let us know.
“Continue to create…”
That phrase is what has gotten our guest today, Sean Brennan, to become an Emmy nominated videographer.

That’s exactly what you’re about to hear today… and how you can use his knowledge on this craft to create content that you’re proud to rewatch!
This conversation is all about creating your own luck by educating yourself and building relationships to continue to move you forward.
