Benefits of eating on the aground have been told in this video by Kalyan sir. If you think that it is a comfortable position to eat while sitting in front of the TV at the dining table, then you are wrong, in India there is a tradition of eating cross-legged while sitting on the ground.
But today we Indians are forgetting our ancient and vast culture and moving towards western civilization. But don't you think this is wrong? How is this wrong, today I will tell you.
1) Strengthens the digestive system
When we eat food while sitting on the ground, then we lean forward to eat and this process has to be done in every mouthful. Due to the process of going back and forth again and again, the abdominal muscles become more active. And it strengthens the digestive system.
2) Increases blood circulation Sitting with a cross is a kind of posture. By sitting in this posture, the blood circulation in the body is uniform and the nervous system remains calm. Due to which by sitting in this position the mind of a person becomes calm and there is less pressure on the heart.
3) Prevents joint and muscle pain.
Eating while sitting in Sukhasana also prevents back, waist and joint pain. By sitting in Sukhasana, flexibility remains in the bones of the legs and spine.
4) Relaxes the mind and body -
Sukhasana is also considered an ideal posture for meditation. Sitting in this posture also removes the tension of the mind. For this reason, it is considered good to eat while sitting in Sukhasan.

अगर आपको लगता है की डाइनिंग टेबल पर टीवी के सामने बैठ कर खाना एक आरामदायक स्थिति है तो आप गलत हैं , भारत मे जमीन पर बैठ कर पालथी मार कर खाने की परंपरा है। लेकिन आज हम भारतीय, अपनी पुरातन और विशाल संस्कृति को भूलते जा रहे हैं और पश्चिमी सभ्यता की ओर बढ़ रहे हैं । लेकिन क्या आपको नहीं लगता है की ये गलत है । ये कैसे गलत है आज मैआपको बतलाता हूँ ।
1) पाचन क्रिया को मजबूत करता है - जब हम जमीन पर बैठ कर , पालथी मर कर खाना खाते हैं तो खाने के लिए थोड़ा आगे की तरफ झुकते हैं और यह प्रक्रिया हर कौर मे करना होता है । बार -बार आगे और पीछे होने की प्रक्रिया से पेट की मांसपेशियाँ अधिक एक्टिव हो जाती है । और यह पाचन क्रिया को मजबूत करता है।
2) रक्त संचार को बढ़ता है - पालथी मार कर बैठना, एक प्रकार का आसन है । इस आसन मे बैठने से शरीर मे रक्त-संचार समान रूप में होता है और तंत्रिका तंत्र शांत रहता है । जिसके कारण इस स्थिति मे बैठने से आदमी का मन शांत हो जाता है और हृदय पर कम दवाव पड़ता है।
3) जोड़ों और मांसपेशी के दर्द से बचाता है ।- सुखासन मे बैठकर खाने से पीठ,कमर और जोड़ों के दर्द से भी बचाव होता है। सुखासन मे बैठने से पैर तथा रीढ़ की हड्डियों मे लचिलापन बना रहता है ।
4) मन और शरीर को आराम देता है - सुखासन ध्यान करने के लिए भी एक आदर्श आसन माना जाता है। इस आसन मे बैठने से मन का तनाव भी दूर हो जाता है । इस कारण से सुखासन मे बैठ कर खाना अच्छा माना गया है।
