A South Carolina hunter named Jeff Davis was dropped off by his friends with directions to a deer stand near a rural cemetery. After walking several hundred yards down a narrow path that wound through ancient gravestones, he soon discovered why few others frequented that spot . . . and that more than the local fauna stalked among the pine trees and underbrush.
