In 1987 after figuring out that the path of a doctor wasn't for him, Tom Slayton decided to join the force and after 37 years he will retire from Henrico County's Police Division. Throughout his time serving Tom helped train other officers and detectives giving them the tools he has learned along the way, while remaining an anchor in the community. Please take a moment to honor with us the Lt. Jan McTernan Blue Friday Honoree for February, Lt. Tom Slayton of Henrico County. Thank you for your service Tom!
