While the nations and rulers plot and scheme against one another, they reveal their deep seated rebellion against God.  Ultimately, God has established His Son as the true king will will forever reign!

This Psalm is a beautiful reminder that God has revealed Himself to all humanity so that none are without excuse.  Creation bears the imprint of God's intentional design while the Scripture discloses more full and specifically the very character of our God in heaven.

Psalm 1 encourages us to see that the path of blessing is found in the way of faithfulness.  The only alternative is the path of rebellion and sin which ultimately leads to destruction.  

The battle of indwelling sin is a reality for all who seek to live faithfully.  While that battle will continue for the rest of our life, it does afford us a deeper understanding of God's mercy and grace for His people.

What joy and hope is promised to God's people as we discover the reality that there is now no condemnation for us who are in Christ.  

We see tonight that who we serve will be our master.  When we faithfully respond to God's Word, we find that obedience actually is the path to freedom and life we desperately long for.

It seems a likely temptation that an increase in God's grace would encourage a greater likelihood of living in sin.  However, we discover in Romans 6:1-14 that the grace of God not only opposes a sinful lifestyle, but is actually our best hope for living faithfully.

In Romans 5:12-21 we see that all of humanity is found to be united to either Adam or Jesus.  To be in Adam leads to death, but to be in Christ is life.  Join us as we consider how Jesus is the true and better Adam who brings life to those who come to him by faith.
